Paul Pelosi, the husband of former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, is facing a possible misdemeanor hit-and-run charge after authorities said he allegedly struck a parked vehicle in Napa County, California.
The incident reportedly happened on Friday afternoon in Yountville, a town in California’s wine country. According to authorities, Pelosi was driving a brown convertible when the vehicle allegedly hit an unoccupied parked car along Yount Street. Officials said the parked car suffered major rear-end damage.

A witness reportedly saw the crash and contacted 911. Authorities said the driver briefly stopped after the collision but then continued driving away from the scene. A short time later, officers located Pelosi’s vehicle nearby with significant front-end damage.
Pelosi, 86, allegedly told investigators that he knew he had hit something but did not know what it was, so he continued driving. Officials said no injuries were reported in the incident.

Authorities also said alcohol did not appear to be involved. Reports indicate that Pelosi registered a 0.00 on a preliminary alcohol screening test. He was not arrested at the scene.
The Napa County Sheriff’s Office is expected to refer the case to the Napa County District Attorney’s Office for review. Prosecutors will decide whether to move forward with charges.

The case has drawn attention because Pelosi is the husband of Nancy Pelosi, one of the most prominent Democratic political figures in the United States. Nancy Pelosi previously served as Speaker of the House and remains a well-known member of Congress.
This is not the first time Paul Pelosi has faced legal scrutiny involving a vehicle incident in Napa County. In 2022, he pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge related to driving under the influence after a crash in the same region.

The latest incident remains under review, and Pelosi has not been convicted of any charge related to the alleged hit-and-run. More details may become available after the District Attorney’s Office reviews the case.
